Rise and shine everyone

It’s a data-heavy week with plenty for markets to digest. The start of the new month and quarter comes alongside key economic reports and events. Central bank heads are gathering in Sintra, Portugal, while we await China’s June manufacturing data, the EU’s CPI print, and a full slate of US releases in the shortened holiday week. These include May JOLTS, ISM Manufacturing and Services PMIs for June, and of course Non-Farm Payrolls.

US equity futures pushed higher overnight, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq surpassing their Friday record highs.

However, renewed trade war jitters crept in late last week. President Trump abruptly ended negotiations with Canada over its Digital Services Tax targeting US tech firms.
